A Letter to the Future Leah:

Hey self. How’s life?

This is a question I would very much like an answer to now. Like NOW. Maybe even yesterday?

Leah, we’re at this big point in our lives — the edge, if you will. All the right raw ingredients are there — the education, the experience, the desire, the belief — all that’s really missing is the dream, the recipe, the goal. It’s not that I don’t trust the process, know that we all have to be here, understand that it will all work out in the end; I do. It’s that I so desperately want to know that when I re-read this page, I will be in a great place, happy and passionate about whatever it is I’m doing. This hope becomes even more fervent when I think about 5, 10, 20 years down the road.

Will I look back and thank God that I’ve truly experienced every day? That I’ve had more love(s), adventures, dreams and goals than most others I know? Will the life book of Leah have many new chapters? Who will I be? Who am I? 🙂 Big questions for a plane from Paris…

Anyways, Leah: This is the first year that’s really yours, so I hope you’re having fun with it and enjoying life. I hope the answer to my first question is “wonderful. please let me tell you all about it…”
